Hall of Ambassadors

The Hall of Ambassadors (Salón de Embajadores) is the most spectacular room in the Real Alcázar de Sevilla. Built under King Pedro I in the 14th century, it served as the official throne room where foreign emissaries and dignitaries were received, a stage designed to impress the world.

Its breathtaking golden dome, carved and gilded in intricate Mudéjar patterns, symbolizes the cosmos and the divine nature of royal power. As the light shifts throughout the day, the ceiling glows like a celestial sphere suspended above the room.

The walls combine Islamic motifs, Arabic inscriptions, Gothic elements and Renaissance additions, creating one of the most beautiful examples of multicultural artistry in Spain.

Today, the Hall of Ambassadors remains the highlight of any visit to the Real Alcázar, a room where history, diplomacy and extraordinary craftsmanship converge in perfect harmony.
